Benny's

Message: I will miss Bennys. Sad to see another institution gone. So far since it closed. I have been in need of rock salt, toaster, 6x9 rug. An a storage container. Hate this! Now to trek to Hyannis.

Message: Easy shopping. Good sales. Very good selection of summer merchandise. Staff was very helpful. As of today 11/17 Bennys is permanently closed. Just awful. It's the same feeling we all had when Bradlees closed.

Message: Unfortunately, after 93 years.. yes.. 93 years, Benny's will be closing this month. This was the "go to" place for most items anyone would want, or need. Benny's was around when most people didn't have cars. They were there before the great depression, and weathered through it. TV hadn't even been invented when they were thriving. Benny's opened when times were simpler. Life was slower. The people who worked at Benny's knew customers by name. The manager would tell my grandmother when the new canning jars were in. Another Benny's employee would tip off my grandfather to the new fishing tackle, or a great special on a clam rake. Today things are different. You can push a button on a smartphone, and instantly, somewhere halfway around the world, someone is picking, packing, and shipping your order, all while you are still in your pajamas with your coffee in hand. Things are different now. Some call it progress. The impersonalization is startling. The lack of human contact is saddening. After this month, there won't be a Benny's employee to offer a warm greeting and ask how the family is, or ask how the garden is doing. There won't be a Benny's employee to say, "Thanks for coming in, " and "Nice to see you. ". No, Benny's, and those of their ilk are a vanishing breed. Unfortunately, this great 93 year run is coming to an end. Here's a tip of the hat, and a fond and heartfelt farewell to Benny's, and a sincere thanks, for the memories. This is truly the end of an era. Sadly, we put a period on the end of the story.

Message: I love this store. I wish they had chains in South Carolina too. We went in looking for 1 thing and came out with many things. Great prices and friendly and helpful employees.

Message: Limited selection of inexpensive clothing. Average prices on a wide variety of household items. Large selection of seasonal goods.

Message: Great store has everything you would need just about.. Employees are nice, helpful, and dont walk around bothering you.. I recommend for anyone that needs something in a jam. They prob have it and most cases in and out.

Message: A Cape Cod local favorite.. In general a local store with best deals on all their products. A great place to shop for home and business supplies and products. All employees are very friendly and helpful to assist all customers needs. A greet place to shop for just about anything..

Message: Good store to find all that stuff you need around the house as well as the beach. Products are priced to sell. A good store for someone on a budget.
